“Just me and my RV named Lucky;
my faith in Jesus Christ at my side…
Someday I’m going home
to the Kingdom,
but for now I think I’ll just enjoy the ride!” (Abigayle)

1:00 a.m.: I just finished my open performance in Parker, Arizona and now I'm too wound up to sleep. Parker is situated on an Indian Reservation, (home to four Colorado River Indian Tribes), so I wasn’t exactly sure how I would be received - but it couldn’t have gone better. It took place in the public library “meeting room” (after the library was closed) and was scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Even though I wasn’t gifted with a beautiful singing voice (and am certainly not a professional musician), I took my guitar with me and sang 12 of my songs. It’s the first time I’ve ever done that, and believe me… it took some nerve! Apparently they must have enjoyed it, because at midnight, the local police came by to see why the lights were still on. I had no idea it was that late. Where does the time go? There are just so many stories to tell… and so many thoughts to share… (and I was really surprised to find over one hundred dollars in my little yellow basket).
During my visit to Parker, I met a very nice Indian lady (they call her “Sister Sarah”) who wants to show me a sacred spot far out in the desert. So, tomorrow morning, I shall take her up on her offer. She drives (and lives in) an RV that’s even older than Lucky and won’t go out there by herself - which is why she asked me to go with her. She says this place is really something special and I can’t wait to see it. We’re leaving first thing in the morning and I don’t have any idea how long we’ll stay. (Now that’s freedom!) I’m planning to use this respite in the wilderness to do some reading, writing and catching up on my journals.
So… I’ll fill you in later
