I'm what you might call a "modern day mountain woman" at heart...and in practice.  The woods are truly "my mansion" and this is one of my many "country" songs.

Just Me and Mother Nature

(gonna spend some time alone)

(Abigayle, 1984)

Sometimes when things get crazy - and my world turns upside down...

When everything=s a question - but an answer can=t be found.

When city walls surround me - and the air=s too thick to breath...

There=s only ONE solution.... It=s TIME FOR ME TO LEAVE!

I=ll just pack up my gear

and walk away from here.

The wilderness and me,

that=s the way it=s gonna be.

No cars, no smog, no people...

no ringin= telephone.

Just me and Mother Nature

gonna spend some time alone.

I=ll trade that smelly asphalt - for a soft, pine needle bed.

I won=t need running water - I=ll find a creek instead.

I won=t be grocery shopping - and I=ll never sweep my tent.

The mountain is my mansion - AND I SURE WON=T PAY NO RENT!

I=ll just pack up my gear

and walk away from here.

The wilderness and me,

that=s the way it=s gonna be.

No cars, no smog, no people...

no ringin= telephone.

Just me and Mother Nature

gonna spend some time alone.
