Just yesterday - she was with God... (May 2005)
(This was written for a friend who was about to give birth to her first child; a little girl.)
The first time
you hold her soft velvet head in the palm of your hand and stroke it softly...your heart will ache from the sheer wonder of how much a mother can love.And when you place your face next to hers... and her indescribably sweet aroma fills your senses with a feeling so familiar and so powerful that tears of wonder and joy have no choice but to leave trails upon your smiling cheeks... you will understand the love our Father in Heaven has for us.
And the first time she grasps your finger in her perfect little hand and you study each tiny fingernail in sheer amazement, you will have no doubt that the precious memory of that moment will be forever imprinted upon your heart and your soul.
And when you fall to your knees in humble gratitude for the God given honor of guiding this special little spirit on her journey through life...
Take a moment to pause - and REMEMBER;
